Why We Participate:

As the world leader in serving science, Thermo Fisher Scientific is driven by an important Mission: to enable our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer. That is our source of inspiration and is how we collectively make a positive impact on society.

Since 2014, Team Thermo Fisher has proudly partnered with Padres Pedal the Cause in the fight against cancer. We are fortunate to work for a company that is intimately involved in enabling our customers to find a cure, and events like Padres Pedal the Cause are critical for getting additional research funding to drive advancements in cancer treatment.

This year, we are riding for 8-year-old Gideon. He was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) in 2015. Since then, Gideon and his family have been bravely battling this terrible disease. Thermo Fisher is proud to have Gideon as an honorary team member again this year!

There is so much more we can do. Sadly, approximately 40 percent of men and women will be diagnosed with cancer at some point during their lifetimes. That's why we participate in Padres Pedal the Cause. We ride for the eight million men, women and children around the world who die each year of this disease, and we donate to help fund more research.

Thank you for supporting Team Thermo Fisher in the fight against cancer!
